WiDS Conference is held at Stanford University & 150+ regional events hosted by WiDS Ambassadors, and available via livestream. The 2019 program will feature fantastic speakers on a broad array of topics ranging from data ethics and privacy to cybersecurity to data visualization, and more.

Inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold

Girls Inc. of the Northern Sacramento Valley, founded in 2006, is an affiliate of Girls Incorporated, which serves girls across the United States and Canada. With roots dating back to 1864, Girls Incorporated is the oldest girl-focused organization in the United States. Girls Inc. of the Northern Sacramento Valley is all about empowering local girls. We serve Shasta and Tehama county girls, ages 6 to 18, by offering a wide range of in-school, after-school and extracurricular programs.

Meet and hear from local women in Data Science and Technology. 12:30 - 1:30 pm 2019 Panelists Charlette Diagneault Charlette Daigneault serves as the director of program expansion for the BlueTechValley hub in Chico, California. Passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation, she has worked for three startups and for Cal Poly’s Center for Entrepreneurship. She is also an organizational communication major with a formal minor in psychology at California State University, Chico.

Attendance FAQ

Are men allowed to participate in WiDS? YES. Men are not only allowed, but encouraged, to attend any WiDS events worldwide. In addition, several of our WiDS ambassadors are men. WiDS is WiDS because we feature outstanding women doing outstanding work. Do I have to register for the whole day? No. You are welcome to come in and out as your schedule allows.
